From Stavanger, the city of my birth in the south, to the Lofoten Islands in the north above the Arctic Circle, The North Sea and the many fjords on the west coast have made boating and fishing an important part of the Norwegian culture and economy.

The longer I have lived away, the more I appreciate my heritage and this is a selection of photographs taken during my many visits there over the years that bring back memories and tug at my heartstrings.
